The Howard Taft memorial bridge, better known as the “Lion Bridge,” runs along Connecticut Ave high over Rock Creek Park in downtown Northwest Washington, DC. It got its name from two large, lion sculptures flanking the entrance on each side of the bridge. The bridge also features several imposing columns on top of which eagles are perched. Truly one of the sites any Washington, DC visitor wouldn’t want to miss.
